Elena Parashko
Elena Parashko is an artist, teacher and writer based in Sydney and regularly visits Hamilton Island to teach art classes to children and adults and exhibit her realistic seascape paintings. Elena has a Bachelor of Education and Master’s degree in Adult Education. She is an international art tutor also teaching painting holidays in Fiji, the Maldives, Tahiti and Norfolk Island.
Elena’s artwork celebrates the beauty of the natural world and has the power to evoke strong positive emotions in the viewer. Her paintings have a very calming effect – the perfect antidote to a stressful life. The unique sand technique she developed takes countless hours to complete with a complex layering of oil and acrylic paint. Another technique she pioneered can be seen in her mixed media underwater paintings where tropical fish appear and disappear depending on the direction of light.
Elena’s award winning paintings have been featured in many art and home decorator magazines in Australia. She is also a writer for Leisure Painter magazine in the UK and Professional Artist magazine in the USA. Elena has published a book aimed at empowering all creative souls titled, “Survival Guide for Artists: How to Thrive in the Creative Arts” and is available here in the gallery.
